A law firm is only as
good as its support staff. Our firm is very fortunate to have a very
qualified and dedicated staff. Our present staff is comprised of the
following: Kathy Clem, kathyc@frickpowell.com Kathy started as a secretary for John in 1985. Due to
the vast knowledge that she has acquired in estate and corporate work, we
made her a paralegal in 1994. Kathy is responsible for
our day-to-day bookkeeping needs.
Originally from Germany, Kathy met and married
her husband, Carl, in 1976 while he was in the Army and stationed in Germany.
They have two children. Kathy has served as treasurer of the Evansville Legal
Secretaries Association and was named the Association's "Secretary of
the Year" in 1993. Stacy L. Wagner, stacyw@frickpowell.com Stacy started with us in 1990 as a secretary. In
addition to being the primary secretary for Garland, her responsibilities
also include that of a real estate paralegal and the handling of our real
estate escrow account. Stacy graduated from North
Posey High School in 1988 and married her husband, Mike, in 2002.
Stacy has held various offices of the Evansville Legal
Secretaries Association and Legal Secretaries of Southwestern Indiana,
including three terms as its president. She was named "Secretary of the
Year" in 1995. Cindy J. Hollen, cindyh@frickpowell.com We first
employed Cindy as a secretary in 1988. She left in 1989 when her husband,
Brad, was transferred by his employer. She returned to work for us again a
few years later, and in 1997 took a few years off to spend time with her two
young children. Cindy now works on a part-time basis as our billing clerk and
occasionally fills in for vacationing staff persons. She graduated from North
Posey High School in 1987 and has attended classes at University of Southern
Indiana
Phyllis works part-time as our “runner.” She is responsible for the many errands essential to our firm’s smooth operation. Phyllis is a native of Evansville. She has been an active member of the Business and Professional Women's Organization since 1965 and has held various offices, including state president. She is retired from Mead Johnson. Phyllis is very active in St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. Rhoda has been our part-time bookkeeper since our firm's inception, and was the bookkeeper for John's law office prior to our firm being formed. She is also the regional executive director for the American Cancer Society and plays organ at East Side Christian Church. Originally from Wisconsin, Rhoda moved to Evansville in 1973. She has two sons. She and her husband, "O.E.," live on Evansville's west side. Rhoda also teaches piano at her home.
